Playgrounds in Long Clawson, Hose & Harby are now open again.

To help us to control the virus, please:

* Try to maintain a 2 metre distance between yourselves and others.

* Sanitise your hands before, during and after using the playground - particularly after touching play equipment and access gates. More »

* Do not consume food or drink whilst using the playground equipment.

Nitrous Oxide Laughing Gas Warning

It has been brought to our attention that people may be using Nitrous Oxide Canisters, otherwise known as 'Laughing Gas', in the Melton Borough area.

Nitrous Oxide, or 'Laughing Gas', is designed for industry purposes and has legitimate uses in powering whipped cream chargers, but some people misuse this. More »

The desired effects are short lasting and the risks are dangerous, they include:

• Unconsciousness or death.
• Loss of blood pressure, fainting and heart attacks.
• Vitamin B deficiency causing nerve damage.
• Impairment of judgement.

Prolonged exposure to nitrous oxide may also result in bone marrow suppression and poisoning of the central nervous system.
