We are applying for consent to work on 4 trees at 24 West end on a TPO. T1, 2 and 3 are Horse chestnuts and T4 is a lime. Please see attached documents and photos.

T1- Horse Chestnut- lies at the south of the grounds, adjacent to the road frontage, <7m immediately in front of property. It is very high and as a result overshadows the front rooms for much of the day making them dark. In addition, due to the close proximity to the house, there is a risk of damage to the property through falling tree/ branches in high winds/a storm and also structural damage due to the root system. In summer months, cracks start to appear in the internal front walls of the house as the trees absorb moisture through the ground.

T2 and T3 lie adjacent to the road frontage at the south east of the grounds. These are similar in height to T1 and overshadow the Eastern grounds of 24 west end and also that of the neighbouring property, number 22 (grade 2 listed), casting their rooms in shadow in the afternoons and early evening. More importantly the telephone wires to number 22 runs through the chestnut trees (T1,2 and 3) band are at risk of being damaged in high winds. The occupants of number 22 work from home and need telephone/ internet which would be compromised if damage to the phone wires occurred.
We would like to reduce the overall height of the horse chestnuts by 35%.

T4 Lime- is very high and overshadows the height of the property. This tree is only 4 m from the east side of the house. Therefore again, there is risk of damage to the property should this tree be damaged and fall. We would like to reduce the overall height of the Lime tree by 35-40%, in line with the house. see attached photos.
